magic air.

wondering as I wander...

I looked up “Thanksgiving”, and this was the only photo in my whole computer that popped up.  This is one of my oldest friends, George.  He’s at our friend Claire’s old home in Venice Beach.  When he sent it, the caption was “Thanksgiving in Venice, 2004”.  This was sent to me after I complained to him that I didn’t remember what he looked like (I hadn’t seen a photo of him in a long while).  In 2006, we all romped around the canals together, and then [just months later] Claire moved to IL for love.
It is almost Thanksgiving, 2009, and I just made a wedding scrapbook with a gift Claire gave me. I miss both of these friends so much…and seeing this picture made me smile about time, friendship, and growth.  Who would have thought 3 years ago that Claire would be married to Greg and have Veronica, that I would be married and a 2nd year English teacher in SC, and that George would be selling bread near our nation’s capitol?
